USDA Begins Last Phase of Data Gathering For Resource Management Survey

USDA workers are spending the next few months conducting the last phase of the 2015 Agricultural Resource Management Survey. Interviewers representing the National Agricultural Statistics Service will be visiting farms and ranches across the nation to compile the final phase of the survey. NASS Administrator Joseph Reilly says this survey helps USDA maintain accurate forecast to help policy makers make accurate decisions. The survey includes farm household income, production expenses and other farm financial information. NASS mailed the survey over the winter holiday to nearly 40,000 farms and ranches. NASS interviewers, often current or former farmers and ranchers themselves, will visit and help producers who have not mailed their form yet complete the survey questions. Respondents can return their forms by mail or complete the survey online at ag counts dot usda dot gov (www.agcounts.usda.gov).
