Hedlin, Schott, and Walters Re-Elected to Northwest FCS Board of Directors

Spokane, Wash. (Feb. 26, 2016) – Stockholders of Northwest Farm Credit Services re-elected Dave Hedlin, Karen Schott and Shawn Walters to the Northwest FCS Board. They will each serve a five-year term.

Dave Hedlin raises vegetable seed, pickling cucumbers, pumpkins and wheat in Mount Vernon, Wash. He serves on the boards of Northwest Ag Research Foundation, Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland and Skagit Valley Culinary Arts and is commissioner of Skagit County Dike District #9. He has been a Northwest FCS customer-member for 35 years and a board member for 10 years.

Karen Schott raises winter wheat, spring wheat and peas in Broadview, Mont. She also manages a lease pasture operation. Schott serves as secretary of the family farming operation, Bar Four F Ranch, Inc. She is a member of the advisory committee to the Montana Southern Ag Research Station and president of the Broadview Community Center board. Schott is also a board member of CoBank, a cooperative bank serving agribusiness, rural infrastructure providers and Farm Credit associations throughout the U.S. She has been a Northwest FCS customer-member for 24 years and a board member for 10 years.
 
Shawn Walters operates a family farm and fresh pack potato facility and grows wheat, barley, alfalfa and potatoes in Newdale, Idaho. Walters is a director for the Enterprise Canal and Growmark Inc., a regional agricultural supply cooperative. He has been a Northwest FCS customer-member for 26 years and a Northwest FCS board member for six years
