All Wheat Stocks Stored in Northwest Region Up 9 Percent from December 1, 2014

All wheat stored in all positions on December 1, 2015 totaled 55.5 million bushels in Idaho, up from 50.1 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 6 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 18 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, wheat stored in all positions totaled 29.6 million bushels, down from 29.8 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 17 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 49 percent compared to the previous year. In Washington, wheat stored in all positions totaled 99.6 million bushels, up from 89.2 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 14 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 11 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 1.74 billion bushels, up from 1.53 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 17 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 6 percent compared to the previous year
Barley stocks in all positions on December 1, 2015 totaled 40.3 million bushels in Idaho, up from 39.4 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 7 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 2 percent compared to the previous year. In Oregon, barley stored in all positions totaled 799,000 bushels, down from 1.07 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 27 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 67 percent compared to the previous year. In Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 4.95 million bushels, down from 4.97 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 14 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 46 percent compared to the previous year. Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 181 million bushels, up from 156 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 3 percent, while on-farm stocks were up 30 percent compared to the previous year
Corn stored in off-farm locations on December 1, 2015 totaled 8.80 million bushels in Idaho, up from 7.42 million bushels a year ago. In Oregon, corn stored in off-farm locations totaled 823,000 bushels (previous year stocks were withheld to avoid disclosure). In Washington, corn stored in off-farm locations totaled 10.4 million bushels, down from 11.9 million bushels a year ago. Nationally, corn stored in all positions totaled 11.2 billion bushels, up slightly from a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 6 percent, while on-farm stocks were down 4 percent compared to the previous year
