USDA's weekly export sales report is due out at 7:30 a.m. CDT Thursday, along with weekly U.S. jobless claims, U.S. trade deficit data for June and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. The U.S. Energy Department releases its weekly natural gas inventory report at 9:30 a.m. and USDA will release export data for June some time Thursday morning.

Scattered showers across Minnesota and Iowa on Thursday could turn stronger in the afternoon as a weak front moves through the region. Other more isolated showers will be found across the Southeast and Northwest. Showers in the Northwest are too late to benefit the wheat crop.
