Fresh back from the weekend, traders will be checking rainfall amounts and the latest weather forecasts. USDA's weekly grain export inspections report is due out at 10 a.m. CDT, followed by the Crop Progress report at 3:00 p.m. Good to excellent crop ratings likely showed further deterioration for corn and soybeans in the latest week.
Weather
A system in the Midwest is weakening but will continue bring showers and thunderstorms east of the Mississippi River on Monday. Another storm in the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies will bring scattered showers as well. In the U.S. the focus will be on North Dakota. Rainfall over the past few days has been beneficial for many of the drier areas of the Corn Belt, but there were some that have been missed. Monday gives those areas another shot.
