A report on U.S. leading indicators is out at 9 a.m. CDT, followed by natural gas inventory at 9:30 a.m. Of course, the latest weather forecasts will also be closely watched.

Thursday features rain showers with light to locally moderate totals in the eastern Midwest and southeastern Plains. We'll also see scattered activity in the western Midwest and northern Plains. Conditions will be very warm as a heat wave begins for the end of the week.
