USDA's weekly export sales report is out at 7:30 a.m. CDT Thursday, along with U.S. jobless claims, June retail sales and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. USDA export sales announcements have been more active lately, announced at 8 a.m. CDT, if there is business to report. The U.S. Energy Department posts natural gas inventory at 9:30 a.m. CDT.
Weather
Thursday will be seasonally warm in the northern and central crop areas, offering favorable conditions for corn and soybean pollination and flowering. Southern crop areas will be mostly dry and hot, especially in the southwestern Plains through western Texas. Rainfall will be limited to scattered light activity in portions of the Southern Plains and eastern Midwest.
