A report on April retail sales will be released at 7:30 a.m. CDT, followed by April industrial production at 8:15 a.m. An index of consumer sentiment is out at 9 a.m., followed by NOPA's estimate of April's soybean crush later Friday morning.
Weather
Showers and thunderstorms are in store from the southeastern Plains through the eastern Midwest Friday. The storms will produce moderate to heavy rain. Severe intensity with hail, strong winds and possible tornado development is also possible. Meanwhile, light rain will cross the northwestern Plains, with light rain also noted for the Delta and Deep South. Other crop areas will be dry.
