Friday Watch List

Markets
The first day of spring may not bring relief from coronavirus worries, but there will be a report of U.S. existing home sales for February out at 9 a.m. CDT, followed by a March 1 U.S. cattle on-feed report at 2 p.m. Traders will be watching for news of possible port closings, along with any other trade news and South American weather reports.

Weather
Moderate to locally heavy rain will extend from southeastern Texas northeast through the Delta and eastern Midwest Friday. Flood threat is high in areas that have already had heavy precipitation in the past few weeks. We'll also see wintry mix precipitation and cold winds in the western Midwest and Northern Plains. Other crop areas will be dry going into the weekend.
