Early runoff in W. Wyoming changes forecast for Jackson Lake water levels

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation cut releases from Jackson Lake Dam in Western Wyoming earlier this week, citing rapidly melting snowpack and a reduction in runoff. The earlier than normal snowmelt also forced a change in the BuRec's estimate of water levels in Jackson Lake, reducing it from an earlier estimate of 70 percent full at summer's end to 50 percent
