Farmers Who Plan To Enroll IN MPP Must Do So By 12/16

Farmers who plan to enroll in the Margin Protection Program for 2017 must do so by December 16, 2016. This summer lawmakers urged congress to extend the original enrollment deadline of September 30. While the deadline was extended, it’s important to note that December 16 is the last chance to participate in the program.It’s also important for farmers to remember that if they enrolled to participate in the program any year since its inception, they are no longer eligible to participate in the Livestock Gross Margin for Dairy program.
