OMAHA (DTN) -- Corn, soybean and wheat inspections were all bullish in this week's export inspections report, according to DTN Senior Analyst Darin Newsom.
Corn weekly export inspections were 57.9 million bushels (week ending Thursday, Sept. 29), putting the marketing-year total at 226.7 mb. The weekly number was above last year's (for the same week) 19.7 mb. The marketing-year total is running 77% ahead of last year's pace as compared to USDA's September projection of a 14% year-to-year increase. Both the weekly number and overall pace should be considered bullish, Newsom said.
Soybean weekly export inspections were 40.6 mb (week ending Thursday, Sept. 29), putting the marketing-year total at 124.9 mb. The weekly number was above last year's (for the same week) 38.9 mb. The marketing-year total is running 36% ahead of last year's pace as compared to USDA's September projection of a 2% year-to-year increase. Both the weekly number and overall pace should be considered bullish, Newsom said.
Wheat weekly export inspections were 23.6 mb (week ending Thursday, Sept. 29), putting the marketing-year total at 371.1 mb. The weekly number was above last year's (for the same week) 20.6 mb. The marketing-year total is running 26% ahead of last year's pace as compared to USDA's September projection of a 23% year-to-year increase. Both the weekly number and overall pace should be considered bullish, Newsom said.
