Reiners Elected USGBC Chairman

Jay Reiners of the Nebraska Corn Board is the new chairman of the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council following last week’s 66th annual Board of Delegates Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He previously served on the Council’s Western Hemisphere and Asia advisory teams and chaired the Nebraska Corn Board. Reiners introduced his theme for the coming year: “Feeding and Fueling the World.” “We have a responsibility to feed and fuel the world,” Reiners said, emphasizing the importance of U.S. corn, sorghum, barley, ethanol, and distillers dried grains with solubles. Delegates also elected Jay Fischer of the Missouri Corn Growers Association as vice chairman and Jon Rosenstiel of the Illinois Corn Marketing Board as secretary-treasurer.
