Traders will start the new week poring over the latest weather forecasts and pause at 8 a.m. CDT to see if there are any new export sales announced. USDA's weekly grain inspections report is due out at 10 a.m., followed by a budget report for March from the U.S. Treasury at 1 p.m. USDA's Crop Progress report at 3 p.m. will have planting progress information and an update of winter wheat conditions.

Rain and snow are in store for the northern Plains and northern Midwest Monday, offering some easing of extreme drought conditions. Other crop areas will be mainly dry. Portions of the southern Plains and southern Midwest have light precipitation in store Monday evening.
