USDA's weekly report of export sales will be out at 7:30 a.m. CDT, the same time as U.S. weekly jobless claims and an update of the U.S. Drought Monitor. At 9:30 a.m., the Department of Energy will have its weekly report on natural gas storage. U.S. futures markets will be closed Friday, but the Labor Department will report on nonfarm payrolls and the U.S. unemployment rate for March at 7:30 a.m.
Weather
A frontal boundary will continue periods of showers and thunderstorms for parts of the South and Southeast Thursday. Some of the rains may be heavy and cause some flooding. It will be cooler behind that front across a lot of the country, but the skies will be quieter.
