A storm system wound up near Chicago will move through the northern Midwest on Monday, with areas of showers arcing through the East Coast and down into the Southeast as the day heats up. Heavier rain has been falling over northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, where some flooding has occurred and may continue today. Cooler temperatures have filled in behind the system across the Corn Belt over the weekend but will be short-lived as the western heat pushes eastward this week.
