Back from the weekend and facing hotter temperatures this week, traders will check the latest forecasts and any new developments from Ukraine. Report of manufacturing activity around the world will come in overnight with ISM's U.S. index for July set for 9 a.m. CDT Monday. USDA's weekly report of grain export inspections is due out at 10 a.m., followed by the Crop Progress report at 3 p.m.
Weather
A disturbance moving through the eastern Midwest and an old boundary from the weekend will combine to create scattered showers along and east of the Mississippi River on Monday. Some stronger storms will be possible near the Ohio River later in the day. Where showers are not occurring, heat will be increasing, with near triple-digit temperatures up and down the Plains, causing stress to both crops and animals.
