USDA's weekly export sales report is due out at 7:30 a.m. CDT Friday, the same time the Labor Department will report on nonfarm payrolls and the U.S. unemployment rate for June. Traders will continue to closely watch the latest weather forecasts and any news related to the economy and interest rates. A report on U.S. consumer credit in May is due out at 2 p.m. CDT.

Moderate to locally heavy rain with a threat of flooding is in store for the central and eastern Midwest Friday. Northern and central crop areas have received some beneficial moisture in storms during the past week. Meanwhile, the southern Midwest, Delta and southeast Plains will be stressfully hot and dry. Heat index values will exceed 110 Fahrenheit in many locales of the southern U.S.
