The U.S. Senate will finally vote on Katherine Tai to be the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).
Her approval has never been in doubt, but it still took longer than most thought for her confirmation vote which should occur sometime this week as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., signaled late last week in filing cloture on the nomination.
Some believe this is also why the Biden administration has been less public about their trade policy views.
