Wednesday features showers and thunderstorms over the northern, central and southwestern Plains through the western and northern Midwest. The rain adds to flood issues and further delays harvest. Southern and southeastern crop areas will be dry. Temperatures will have a sharp contrast between cool north and very warm to hot south.
