U.S. new home sales are released at 9 a.m. CDT, followed by natural gas inventory at 9:30 a.m. Weather remains critical with a wider coverage of freezing temperatures entering the latest forecasts.

Thursday will be rainy with some snow in the Southern Plains. Other crop areas will be dry. A cold temperature pattern will begin spreading over northern and central areas.
