Weekly jobless claims and the U.S. Drought Monitor will be released at 7:30 a.m. CDT, but USDA's weekly export sales report will not come out until Friday morning, due to this week's holiday schedule. The Department of Energy will release all its weekly inventories, starting at 9:30 a.m. CDT and will include ethanol and natural gas. Any changes in weather or trade news will continue to be watched closely.

Thursday features mostly dry and warm conditions in primary crop areas, with only light rain in the western Midwest. Meanwhile, category 3 Hurricane Dorian will bring heavy rain, strong winds and storm surge to the Carolina coast.
