Markets
The U.S. Labor Department reports on producer prices at 7:30 a.m. CDT and that is the only official report on Friday's docket. The latest weather forecasts remain high on the list of market interest as row crops develop and winter wheat is being harvested. Traders will also be watching the storm in the Gulf of Mexico and its impact on grain transportation.
Weather
Friday will be dry across most primary crop areas and allowing for row crop progress. We'll see some light rain in the southeastern U.S. and light showers in the northern Midwest. Conditions will be seasonally warm in northern and eastern areas, and hot elsewhere. Winter wheat harvest in the Plains will have favorable conditions. Tropical Storm Barry will continue moving toward the Gulf Coast, still with a threat of heavy, flooding rain in the Delta over the weekend.
