Congressman Mike Simpson blocked the closure of the U.S. Sheep Experiment Station in Dubois

Congressman Mike Simpson blocked the closure of the U.S. Sheep Experiment Station in Dubois with an agriculture appropriations bill that passed through the committee last week.  President Trump’s budget called for an elimination of the station.  The appropriations bill also recommended that USDA fill two positions currently vacant at the sheep station to bolster the center’s research of rangeland health.
