The U.S. trade deficit for August will be released at 7:30 a.m. CDT Tuesday, also providing data for USDA to report on ag exports later Tuesday morning. Traders will consider Monday afternoon's Crop Progress report, check the latest weather forecasts and watch for any news of an export sale.
Weather
An upper-level low will continue to produce showers mostly east of the Mississippi River and south of the Ohio River on Tuesday, causing further delays to harvest. Drier and warmer conditions elsewhere will benefit the continued harvest. Wetter areas of the Plains and Midwest will see good growth and planting conditions for winter wheat.
