7:30 a.m. CDT is a busy time again Thursday with simultaneous releases of weekly grain export sales, weekly U.S. jobless claims and the latest U.S. Drought Monitor map. A report on U.S. manufacturing is due out at 9 a.m., followed by natural gas inventories at 9:30 a.m. Weather remains an important topic with corn nearing pollination.

Primary crop areas will be mostly dry Thursday. The exception is the far western Midwest, where moderate to heavy rain will threaten flooding. Temperatures will be seasonally warm north and central and hot south, notably in the southwestern Plains.
