Interest in USDA's weekly export sales has taken a back seat to watching the latest forecast for planting opportunities, but the numbers will still be noticed at 7:30 a.m. CDT, along with weekly U.S. jobless claims and a monthly report on the U.S. trade deficit. The Department of Energy will have natural gas inventory available at 9:30 a.m. and any news on the trade front with Mexico, China or Japan will get the market's attention.
Weather
Moderate to heavy rain or showers and thunderstorms during Thursday from the southeast Plains across the Delta and into the southeast U.S. Some of this heavy rain due the disturbance that moved inland off the Gulf of Mexico yesterday. Local flooding appears likely. Scattered showers and some rain also for the central Plains region, southeast Texas, east-central areas of the U.S. and the northern Rockies region into Montana. Little elsewhere in key growing areas during Thursday.
