At 7:30 a.m. CDT, USDA will release its report of weekly export sales the same time the U.S. Labor Department releases its monthly update of non-farm payrolls and U.S. unemployment. At 8:30 a.m., U.S. grain and livestock futures resume trading and continue until their normal closes Friday. Due to the CFTC's Commitment of Traders holiday schedule, DTN Market Strategies will be updated Monday, July 8.
Weather
Showers and thunderstorms are in store for the Northern and central Plains and Midwest Friday. Some flooding is likely in areas of locally heavy rain. We'll also see light rain in the Southeast, and dry conditions elsewhere. These conditions are favorable for row crop progress and winter wheat harvest.
