Policy Riders Stripped From FY2017 National Defense Authorization Act Bill

Congress has caved to pressure from Senator John McCain and the defense industry and stripped all policy riders from the FY2017 National Defense Authorization Act bill – including  language to block implementation of the Resource Management Plan amendments for the Greater Sage Grouse.     New currency in the United Kingdom has vegans up in arms after it was revealed the British 5-pound note was made with tallow. The ingredient works as an anti-static, but more than 120,000 vegans, vegetarians, and members of certain religious groups have signed a petition to remove the animal byproduct from the currency.
