The first thing traders are apt to check Monday are the updated weather forecasts and will also be attentive to any new trade news that may pop up. USDA's weekly report of export inspections is due out at 10 a.m. CDT, followed by Crop Progress at 3 p.m. CDT. Corn and soybean crop ratings will get much of the attention with corn pollination getting closer for major producing areas.

Monday's crop weather pattern features more dry conditions in the central and eastern Midwest, continuing to stress crops. Rain will focus in the Northern Plains and northern Midwest. Temperatures will be seasonal north and central, and hot south, along with the northwestern U.S.
