Wednesday Watch List

Markets
Weather remains the main attraction of markets while row crop planting continues to be a challenge in early 2019. A report of U.S. private sector job growth from ADP is due out at 7:15 a.m. CDT, followed by the Department of Energy's weekly inventories at 9:30 a.m. The Federal Reserve releases its Beige Book report of economic activity at 1 p.m. CDT.

Weather
Heavy rain and potential flooding through southeast Texas and southern Louisiana as a weak tropical disturbance moves inland off the Gulf of Mexico Wednesday and Wednesday night. Scattered showers and rain through east and south areas of the Midwest, in the Delta, the east-central and northeast U.S. area and also in the Southern Plains region. Wet weather and wet conditions continue to affect early-season field work in many locations. Wet weather in the Southern Plains is unfavorable for mature wheat and will likely delay the early harvest. Dryness in the Canadian Prairies continues to stress early development of spring wheat and canola.
