There are no significant reports on the docket for Tuesday's markets and the latest weather forecasts remain at the top of market attention. Trade issues are background concerns these days, but still get noticed. Monday afternoon's Crop Progress report put corn at 67% planted and soybeans at 39% planted.
Weather
Showers, some rain and a few thundershowers over portions of the northeast Plains, the western and central Midwest, the east-central and southwest Plains and the northern Delta during Tuesday and Tuesday night will continue to slow planting progress for corn and soybeans while also being unfavorable for wheat in the central/Southern Plains region. Heavier rains associated with a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico may reach into crop areas of southeast Texas during this time. Drier elsewhere in key U.S. and Canada growing areas Tuesday. Dryness remains of concern in the Canadian Prairies while wet conditions after overnight rainfall in North Dakota may cause fieldwork delays during the morning before improving this afternoon.
