Committed vegetarians have a higher average rate of depression compared with their carnivorous counterparts

According to a new study at Bristol University, committed vegetarians have a higher average rate of depression compared with their carnivorous counterparts.  Researchers attribute lower levels of vitamin B12, a nutrient found in red meat and associated with mental health, to be the cause of higher depression rates among non-meat eaters.
